Easy Pizza And Focaccia Dough

by Angela Sacco
(Las Vegas, NV)

This is a really easy and fast way to make a quick pizza or Focaccia dough. I use it mostly to make pizzas for my family in our pizza maker.

Everyone can join in and help make their own personal pizza... It's Easy and Fun!

Firstly, take one pack of yeast and dissolve in 1 cup warm water and pour it into a mixing bowl.

Add:
2-1/2 cups of flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Mix well - about 20 strokes or so - and the dough will be a stay a little sticky. Then let it rest for 5 minutes.

That's it!

Dust your hands and a rolling surface with flour and roll or shape to the size you want with your hands.

Bake until golden brown! (I usually watch it in the pizza maker) but about 10- 15 minutes in an oven at approx. at 400-450°F should be fine.

For Focaccia, spray olive oil or spread olive oil into a shallow bread pan. Dust with flour and spread the dough into the pan.

Add the toppings below and bake until golden brown (again, I watch the pizza maker) or, 10-15 minutes at 400-450° F in the oven.

Depending on your taste, add ANY or ALL of these toppings:

  • Sun-dried tomatoes (soften by boiling in a little white wine or chicken broth)
  • Garlic
  • Basil
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Rosemary

You can be as creative as you want with the toppings, but you want to make sure they don't contain too much liquid, or your Focaccia will be soggy.

Enjoy!
